Bin Dong

Executive Vice President of Zhonguancun Academy

Dong Bin is a Boya Distinguished Professor at Peking University, affiliated with the Beijing International Center for Mathematical Research (BICMR). He concurrently serves as Executive Vice President of Zhonguancun Academy, Deputy Director of the Center for Machine Learning Research at Peking University, Vice President of Peking University Changsha Institute for Computing and Digital Economy, and Researcher at the National Biomedical Imaging Center.
Prof. Dong received his B.S. in Mathematics from Peking University (2003), M.Sc. from the National University of Singapore (2005), and Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles (2009). Prior to joining Peking University in 2014, he held faculty positions at the University of Arizona (2011-2014) and UC San Diego (2009-2011).
His research focuses on the interplay between machine learning, scientific computing, and computational imaging, with applications spanning mathematical theory, algorithms, and interdisciplinary collaboration
